Manual Cleaning and Disinfection

The optical areas of the headlights must be treated with the utmost caution to avoid risks.
Ensure that you wipe the equipment with a damp non-abrasive cloth during cleaning and that no parts of
the product are sprayed.
If too much liquid is sprayed onto a cloth or used, it may permeate areas which could lead to damage to
batteries, circuits and optics.
Always remove the mains plug for the headlight before cleaning the product.
Lens cleaning:
To clean the lens, clean as needed with a soft microfiber lens cloth and/or a lens cloth moistened with
optical lens cleaner.
Headlight cleaning:
The device casing can be cleaned using a soft cloth that has been moistened with alcohol or a non-
aggressive disinfectant solution.
• Use cleaning cloths or a lint-free cloth combined with a disinfectant based on isopropyl alcohol or simply
70 % isopropyl alcohol.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove residue and fingerprints. Never use paper fiber materials such as a
paper tissue or a paper towel, as these can leave scratches.
• Wring out the cloth before use.
• Do not immerse in or spray with disinfection agents.
• Avoid excessive moisture, as this can lead to damage on the electrics, safety risks and voidance of the
warranty.
• When choosing the cleaning agents and disinfectants to be used, it must be ensured that they are
generally suitable for the cleaning and disinfecting of medical devices made from metals and plastics.
• Only approved cleaning solutions may be used, as there is otherwise a risk of damaging the equipment
and voiding the warranty.
The black padding strips are cleaned using the same method. The padding strips can be removed for
cleaning. However, we recommend leaving them on the headlight for cleaning. New padding strips are
available as accessories.
Additional occupational safety measures (e.g. protective clothing, protective goggles, gloves; air filtering) in
line with national specifications must be properly performed during manual cleaning/disinfection whenever
there is a possible risk of injury or infection.
