2. Install the Hardware

Turn off your computer.
Gently connect MiniCentronics end of Archos cable into your SlimCDRW drive.
It should click when in place. Do not use force, as it could cause damage to the connector.
Select one of the following ways to supply power to your SlimCDRW, prefer to use the
external 5V mode:
Using the external 5C DC Adapter (recommended) :
Position the Power Jumper as shown
Plug in 5V DC Adapter to your SlimCDRW's Power Socket.

3. Install the Software Driver on PC

Using SLIM CDRW for the first time requires a driver installation, depending on the version
of interface (PCMCIA, USB, USB2.0 or Fire Wire). Each driver installation is different.
A. PCMCIA Interface Installation
NOTE :
For the PCMCIA interface, default Windows driver are used.
The floppy disk driver is not required for this installation.
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE & ME:
Turn on your system and wait for Windows to finish booting.
Insert the PCMCIA card (Archos logo face up) into an open PCMCIA slot in your
notebook.
A "New Hardware Found" window will guide you through installation of driver.
When prompted for driver disk, uncheck all boxes. Then click Next.
For Windows 98 (4.10.1998) choose "The updated driver recommended" and click
Next:
