Locking types
• Locking with spring force (closed-circuit principle,
F-Type, Figure 6)
Actuator inserted and mechanically locked. It is unlocked
by applying voltage to the magnet or manually by means
of the auxiliary release if the power fails or by means of
the key (depending on the version).
- Auxiliary release, unlocking by means of the key and
escape release are only permitted if the tumbler fails.
- Unlocking by means of the key (Figure 1):
Auxiliary release by an authorized person turning the
key causes the tumbler to be unlocked. The actuator
is enabled for withdrawing.
Turning the key in the opposite direction after the dan-
gerous situation has been rectified causes the device
to return to the normal operating status. The key can
then be removed.
- Escape release (Figure 1):
Manual actuation of the EMERGENCY-STOP push-
button by any person in the danger zone causes the
tumbler to be unlocked. The actuator is enabled for
withdrawing.
An authorized person turning the key (clockwise) after
the dangerous situation has been rectified causes the
device to return to the normal operating status. The
key can then be removed.
Safety switches with the escape release option must
be installed inside the danger zone. The escape
release may only be activated to enable leaving the
danger zone in the event of a system failure.
• Locking with electromagnetic force (open-circuit
principle, M-Type, Figure 6)
Actuator unlocked. It is locked by applying voltage to the
magnet.
