- Never immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops. Take the plug out of the socket
whenever the appliance is not in use.
- The heating base and the various parts will get very hot. Keep out of reach of children and take care your-
self. Only pick up the parts using the handle.
- Do not place the appliance to close to the edge of the table, or work surface as people may trip over it;
do not leave the cord dangling in case people or objects become entangled.
- In case of damage to the appliance or its cord, we advise you to not use the device, but to return it to
the store for repair. Damaged cords can only be replaced by our service department.
- Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.
- This appliance is intended for normal household use.
- Do not move the appliance while it or the contents are still hot.
- Always place the fondue pan on a stable and flat surface.
- Do not use this set outdoors.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given initial supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children shall be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = neutral, BROWN = LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW = EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour mar-
kings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L
or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN-YELLOW must be connected to the earth terminal which is marked
with the letter E or
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of plug is
used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.

AVANT L'EMPLOI
Lisez attentivement ce mode d'emploi et conservez-le afin de pouvoir le consulter ultérieurement si
nécessaire. Assurez-vous que le voltage de votre logement correspond à celui indiqué sur l'appareil.
Brancher cet appareil uniquement sur une prise de terre. Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, enlever éventuellement
toutes les étiquettes et laver toutes les pièces (à l'exception du socle chauffant) dans de l'eau de vaisselle
et bien les rincer. Ne pas utiliser d'objets tranchants dans le caquelon car cela pourrait l'endommager.
Piquer les fourchettes uniquement dans les aliments, pas dans le caquelon !

UTILISATION DE L'APPAREIL
Placer le socle chauffant sur une table solide ou toute autre surface stable. Ne pas placer l'appareil
sur une table de cuisson (chaude).
Attention : pour installer correctement la couronne à ramequins l'emboîter dans la plaque chauffante en
appuyant fermement sur la plaque chauffante.
Brancher la fiche dans la prise de courant et régler le bouton du thermostat sur la température voulue.
Il faut quelques minutes pour que l'appareil atteigne cette température.
Entre-temps vous pouvez déjà préparer les ingrédients. Le témoin lumineux
s'éteint dès que l'appareil a atteint la température programmée.
