INSTALLATION
The panel heater is designed for horizontal installation on a wall. The heater must not be
installed directly under a wall socket. To install, separate the wall from the heater by
squeezing the springs at the top of the frame together and folding the frame out and
downwards. The frame can then be released from the heater body. The wall frame has
holes marked with numbers that indicate the height from the floor to the bottom edge of
the heater when the wall frame is used as a template for installing the heater. The wall
frame is placed in an upright position against the wall, either resting on the floor or on
the top edge of the skirting board, and a mark is made on the wall using the hole that
indicates the desired height from the floor or the skirting board. The bottom fixing
screws are then screwed in using the marks on the wall as guides. When the wall frame
is fixed to the wall by the top fixing screws, the heater is slid into the wall frame from
the top, swung in an upward direction and secured by the springs.
PERMANENT CONNECTION models EDP - EDL and EP - EL - EPV
Must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The heater is equipped with a lead
and plug.
Alternative 1: If the heater is to be permanently connected the lead may be cut and fed
into the junction box on the wall using a cable anchor. Alternative 2: The cover with
the cable anchor and the cable are removed from the rear of the heater, a new power
cable is fitted with a terminal block and the cover with the cable anchor is replaced.
PERMANENT CONNECTION models ESP - ESL and ESPV
Must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The heater is equipped with a cen-
tral junction box. The heater is connected by leading the cable into the junction box and
fitting a terminal block. See figure 2 for wiring diagram.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEATERS FOR WET ROOMS
Environmental heaters models ESPV and EPV are certified for installation in bathro-
oms and other wet rooms. (IP 4X). All other models certified for installation in dry
rooms (IP 20).
HEATER SETTINGS models EDP - EDL and EP - EL
The panel heater is equipped with on/off switches on the right hand side of the switch
panel on the top of the heater. The heater is controlled by an electronic thermostat. An
indicator lamp on the top of the heater shows when the power is switched on to the hea-
ting elements.
HEATER SETTINGS models ESDP and ESL
The panel heater is equipped with on/off switches on the right hand side of the switch
panel on the top of the heater. The heater is controlled by an electronic thermostat. An
indicator lamp on the top of the heater shows when the power is switched on to the hea-
ting elements. The electronic thermostat has a function that enables a temperature reduction
of approximately 5° C under the set temperature. This is achieved by connection an
external control wire from a switch after the timer to the connection point marked S in
the junction box. The reduction function is activated when the control wire receives
current.
TEMPERATURE SAFETY DEVICE
The heater is equipped with a temperature safety device that disconnects the power if
for example the panel heater is covered. The temperature safety device has automatic
re-switching, and will switch the power back on when the heater reaches a lower tem-
perature. If the cause of the power being switched off is not removed, the power will
not be switched back on.
NOTE! THE PANEL HEATER MAY OVERHEAT IF COVERED!

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

SETTING THE THERMOSTAT ON MODELS EDP - EDL, ESP - ESL, EP - EL
and EPV - ESPV
If the indicated temperature on the temperature scale of the thermostat deviates from the
ambient room temperature, this can be adjusted using the inner movable number dial on
the thermostat. When the room temperature is stable, the thermostat button is held in
place and the inner dial of the thermostat is turned until the temperature on the ther-
mostat button equals the ambient room temperature. Use a thin (NOT SHARP) knife or a
small screwdriver to turn the inner number dial.
Especially for model EDP-EL
When using the heater for the first time, it will function as a standard panel heater with an
electronic thermostat until it is programmed. Each programme switch is an on/off switch
that when pushed once turns the programme on and when pushed a second time turns
the programme off. When the programme is on, and the heater temperature decreases, the
accompanying diode will light up (red). When the reduction period is over, the diode
will change to green to indicate that a programme has been selected. If you wish to select
a different programme, you must first cancel the current activated programme. During the
reduction period the heater will lower the temperature by approximately 5° C compa-
red to the pre-set room temperature. .
PROGRAMMES FOR EDP - EDL
7-hour: Lowers the temperature for seven hours all days of the week. Activated by pus-
hing the 7 t button once. Must be activated by pushing the button at the time one wishes
the reduction period to commence. If for example the programme is activated at 23.00,
the temperature will be lowered between 23.00 and 06.00 daily.
5-hours: Lowers the temperature for 5 hours 5 days weekly, no reduction temperature on
days 6 and 7. Activated by pushing the 5 t button once. This programme can be used
together with the 7-hour programme. Must be activated at the time one wishes the
reduction period to commence.
Example: If the programme is activated on Monday at 09.00, the temperature will be
lowered by 5° C from Monday to Friday inclusive between 09.00 and 14.00, Saturday
and Sunday, no reduction in temperature.
15-hours: Lowers the temperature for 15 hours 5 days a week and for 7 hours on days
6 and 7. Activated by pressing the 15 t button once. This programme cannot be comb-
ined with the 5-hour or 7-hour programmes.
Example: If the programme is activated on Sunday evening at 23.00, the temperature
will be lowered by 5° C from Monday to Friday inclusive between 23.00 and 14.00,
Saturday and Sunday from 23.00 to 06.00.
Pause: The pause function overrides all programmes and puts the heater into normal
thermostat controlled mode. When the pause function is activated, the diode will show
a red light and the diode for the selected programme will be green. Activated by pus-
hing the pause button once.
