After fi nishing your work, switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF switch (9) and pull the power plug
out of the socket.
Press the automatic cord winding button (10) to wind up the power cord [Fig. F1]. Hold the plug fi rmly during
the automatic winding to prevent it from whipping around.
The vacuum hose (5) can be disconnected from the appliance for storage. To do this, select the fl exible
vacuum hose locking buttons (6) and disconnect the fl exible vacuum hose.
The vacuum tube (3) or the combination brush (4) can be hung on the appliance for storage; the corresponding
fi gures in the image section are marked with the parking symbol
System Protection Technology:
This appliance features a specifi c electronic system which monitors the suction air fl ow and protects the
motor (SPT System Protection Technology). In the event of clogging in the suction inlet or if the dust collection
housing is full, the SPT LED (20) [Fig. D3] fi rst will blink to indicate such problem: turn the appliance off,
remove the object which is causing the clogging, empty the dust collection housing and clean the fi lters.
If you don't turn the appliance off and keep operating the suction feature, the LED indicator will switch to
red and after few seconds the SPT will decrease the suction power to the minimum. In this event, turn
the appliance off immediately, remove the object which is causing the clogging, empty the dust collection
housing and clean the fi lters.
MAINTENANCE [Fig. G]
Before opening the appliance, switch it off and pull the power plug from the socket! Before using the
appliance again, make certain that all parts cleaned with liquid are completely dry!
Cleaning the appliance:
Clean the appliance as needed with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or other aggressive or sharp-edged
cleaning aids. These could damage the surface.
Cleaning the combination brush (4):
With the motor switched on, run your hand over the brush to loosen clinging dust and lint. These are then
directly vacuumed up.
Cleaning the dust collection system (15):
When the vacuum cleaner suction power is decreased or the System Protection Technology light blinks or
switches to red, remove the collected dust from the appliance.
Note:
It is strongly recommended that the dust container (15) is emptied and the fi lters cleaned after every
use.
If the power of your vacuum does not improve after cleaning the dust collection system, this could result from
the Hepa fi lter and sponge fi lter in the appliance being very dirty. In this case, the fi lters must be replaced.
Do as shown in the fi gures marked with the symbol
Clean the dust collection system as described below and take note of the fi gures in the image section.
