Master Fan Clutch Wrench Set

• ALWAYS FOLLOW LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF USED / WASTED FLUIDS AND OR PARTS.
1. Note the hex area where the fan clutch mates to the water pump output shaft. See figure a.
2. Engage the hex of the fan clutch nut with the appropriate sized spanner wrench. See figure b. Spanner wrench can also be used with a breaker
bar for added reach as well. See figure c.
3. Select the square-drive holding tool that best fits the 4 bolts on the water pump output shaft. Using a breaker bar, position the holding tool so
that it engages the 4 bolts and can be used to hold the water pump shaft stationary. See figure d.
4. Turn the two tools against each other so that the clutch can be screwed off of the water pump output shaft threads and removed from the vehicle.
See figure e. Note: Some clutches may have reverse threads.
5. Installation is the reverse of removal procedures.
NOTE: Some applications may use a pin type holding tool if needed, refer to Powerbuilt
Check manufacturer's information to ensure proper thread direction and take care to turn the tools in the correct direction.
