Condensation: May be detected on the outside surface and door rubbers of the
freezer when the ambient humidity is very high, this is normal and can be
removed with a dry cloth.
Buzzing: This may be generated by the compressor during operation, especially
during start-up and shut-down.
7 . ENERGY SAVING
1) Refrigeration appliances may not operate consistently (contents may thaw or
the temperature may rise in the freezer compartment) when placed for a
long period of time below the minimum temperature of the operating
temperature range for which the appliance is designed.
2) Carbonated beverages should not be stored in the freezer or low
temperature compartment, and some products such as ice cubes should not
be consumed very cold.
3) 3) The storage time in the refrigerator or freezer recommended by
manufacturers for any type of food should not be exceeded, especially for
commercially frozen foods.
4) Take precautions to prevent the temperature of frozen food from rising while
the refrigerator is defrosting, such as wrapping the food in several layers of
newspaper. If the temperature of these foods rises during defrosting,
maintenance or cleaning, it may reduce their shelf life.
Avoid opening the door often, especially when it is hot and humid. When
opening the door, close it as soon as possible.
Check that the appliance is sufficiently ventilated from time to time and that the
air circulates properly at the rear.
In normal temperature conditions, set the thermostat to the medium setting.
Before loading the appliance with fresh food, check that it is at room
temperature.
If ice or frost builds up, it may increase energy consumption, so clean the
appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5mm thick.
If the condenser is external, the rear wall should always be cleaned of dust or
impurities.
The refrigerator should be placed in the coolest part of the room, away from
heat-producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of direct sunlight.
Food should be brought to room temperature before being placed in the
refrigerator. Overloading forces the compressor to run longer, and food that is
frozen too slowly may lose quality or spoil.
Wrap food well and dry containers well before putting them in the refrigerator,
as this prevents frost from forming.
Refrigerator compartments should not be lined with foil, wax paper or paper
towels, as this interferes with cold air circulation and reduces the efficiency of the
refrigerator.
Organise and label food to reduce door opening time.
