Installation procedure
• The branch pipe for the pipe must have a refrigerant branching suite. For choosing the refrigerant
branching suite and deciding the maximum height difference between the indoor units, please refer to the
installation instructions or technical data attached to the outdoor unit.
Pipe maintenance
During installation, perform maintenance protocol as specified in the table, in order to prevent water,
foreign matter and dust from entering the pipes.

Note
When a pipe is to penetrate through a wall or extend to the outdoors, ensure that foreign matter and dust
do enter the pipe.
Attention: piping connection
• To connect a pipe to or remove it from the connection kit, do use pliers for screws and a torque spanner
• When installing the connection kit, please fix the box and the connecting pipes in an efficient manner, so as
to avoid displacement when changing the connection kit.
• For the sizes of the flares, please refer to <Table-1>.
<Note>
• For connection at a flare, apply ester or ether oil to the flare (both to the inner surface and the outer
surface). Apply the oil 3 to 4 times and insert the screw at the first use.
• The tightening torque for the flare is listed in Table-1.
If no torque wrench is available, here's how you approach the situation
Use a spanner to tighten the nut of the flare to a position where the tightening torque sharply increases.

The tightening angle for the position where the tightening torque sharply increases <Table -2>.

After tightening, ensure that there is no air leakage.

