Introduction
The HRCG-300 detects changes in refrigerant or combustible gas level. It indicates these changes with
the bar graph LEDs and the sensor LED. Both are proportional to the amount of refrigerant or
combustible gas detected.
• When no refrigerant or combustible gas is detected, the bar graph LEDs are not illuminated, the
sensor LED flashes, and the beeper sounds at the idle rate (approximately 1 per second).
• When an increasing amount of refrigerant is detected, the bar graph LEDs begin to illuminate, the
sensor LED flashes at a faster rate, and the audible indicator beeps faster.
• When the amount of refrigerant is decreasing, fewer bar graph LEDs illuminate, the sensor LED
flashes at a slower rate, and the beeper slows.
To detect refrigerant or combustible gas leaks, sweep or scan the area at a maximum rate of 50 mm (2")
per second, within 5 mm (0.2") of any potential source of a leak.
