GALILEO - 3D PRINT MODEL INSTRUCTIONS

This model represents Galileo satellite at 1:40 scale. This scale was chosen so it could be printed at any
FDM printer with a 200x200 mm bed or bigger.
Printing settings
The printing settings can be chosen from the printer operator according to your own experience. As
reference, some of the settings are here specified although there is no need to use the same:

Nozzle size: 0.4mm
•
Layer height: 0.2mm
•
3 perimeters
•
Fill density: 15%
•
Print speed: 40-60mm/s

Supporting structure
SAR_antenna.stl part requires to 3D-print a supporting structure.
All the other parts are designed in such a way that no supporting structures are needed.
Assembly
Most parts will fit together without the need for glue. The pieces have holes and pins to assemble the
complete model. Glue or adhesives as cianocrilate or PVA can be used to fix the pieces at their position.
The model can be placed on the stand for exhibition. There is no need to fix it with any kind of adhesives or
pins.
