SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

You are advised to read this manual carefully
because it contains important information
both for your safety and for the use and
maintenance of the device. Keep this
manual for future reference and always pass
it on with the device.
•
This scale is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
•
This scale can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge, if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance in a safe manner
and understand the hazards involved.
•
Children should not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance should not be carried out
by children without supervision.
•
Do not install a mixture of new and used
batteries or different types of batteries in
the Battery Compartment [3].
•
Empty batteries must be removed from
the device and disposed of in a safe
manner.
•
Remove batteries if the scale is not
intended to be used for a long period.
•
This scale is only intended to be used or
stored on an even and stable surface.
•
This scale must not be used in any
circumstances if it has been dropped or
if there is visible damage.
•
As the platform is made of glass, care
needs to be taken with this scale at all
times.
•
Step onto the platform only with dry bare
feet and a dry body.
•
Do not place this scale on a slippery floor.
•
Do not jump onto the platform.
•
Protect the scale against dampness and
splashing and never submerge it in water
or other liquids.
•
Always stand on the centre of the
platform.
•
Do not use this scale near a cell phone or
microwave oven.

Danger of slipping if used with wet feet.

INTENDED USE

This bathroom scale is exclusively designed for
measuring body weight. Only use this device
as described in this manual. Any other type of
usage can lead to damage to the device or
injury to the user. We take no responsibility for
damage as a result of unintended usage.
EFFICIENT USE
To ensure the accuracy of measurement,
please follow the instructions below when you
start measurement:
•
Place the scale on a flat, hard surface.
Soft surfaces such as carpet will affect the
performance of the scale.
•
Start measurement at least two hours
after getting up or dining.
•
Avoid measurement immediately after
strenuous exercise, a sauna/bath, drinking
or dining.
•
Always start measurement in the same
time slot and on the same scale located
on the same flat, hard surface.

INITIAL START-UP

Insert the batteries
1. Open the door of the Battery
Compartment [3] at the back of the
scale.
2. Insert the batteries (4 x AAA) into the
Battery Compartment according to the
polarity indications marked inside the
compartment. The digits 8888 will be
shown on the LED display.
