Starting / Stopping the

Move the stop switch (1) to I.
N
Press down the trigger lockout (2)
N
and pull the throttle trigger (3) until
the tongue (4) can be engaged
(arrow) – now release the throttle
trigger, tongue and trigger lockout in
that order. This is the starting
throttle position.

Set the choke lever (5) to
N
g if the engine is cold
e if the engine is warm
Press the manual fuel pump
N
bulb (6) at least five times.
Place the unit on the ground – it
N
must rest securely on the engine
support and the gearbox.
Remove the blade scabbard.
N
Check that the cutting blades are
N
not touching the ground of any other
obstacles.
N

NOTICE
Do not stand or kneel on the drive tube.

NOTICE
Do not pull out the starter rope all the
way – it might otherwise break.

If the engine is cold (choke set to g)
N

Note
If conditions are unfavorable and the
engine does not start after 10 pulls with
the choke lever set to e :
Make sure you have a safe and
secure footing.
Hold the unit with your left hand and
press it down firmly – your thumb
should be under the housing.
Pull the starter grip slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and then give it a brisk strong pull.
Do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing
so that the starter rope can rewind
properly.

Pull the starter rope five times.
Set the choke lever (5) to e and
continue cranking until the engine
runs.
