PROBLEM
No carbonation.
Slight carbonation.

PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
• Check if CO
cartridge has been used. Use a brand new cartridge.

• Cartridge is too cold. Wait until cartridge reaches room temperature.
• Water is too warm. Use 33° to 42°F (0.5° to 5.5°C) filtered or bottled water.
• Carbonating unit allowed to remain on bottle too long after charging. Press the pressure release button.
Remove promptly after charging in the future.
• Clogged nozzle. Press the pressure release button. DO NOT attempt to remove the carbonating unit
from the bottle. Contact Hamilton Beach for repair or replacement.
• Fill water to appropriate fill level. Do not fill above MAX Fill Level for soda.
• CO
is not mixed well with water. Allow 10 seconds after CO
2
• Use very cold (33° to 42°F [0.5° to 5.5°C]) refrigerated water.
• Shake well after carbonating.
• Carbonation adjustment dial is not set in the correct position. Adjust carbonation adjustment dial
counterclockwise.
• Too little water. Fill water to bottle markings up to MAX Fill Level.
• This is normal. Release pressure by pushing on pressure release button on top of carbonating unit.
• Pressure was not released. Press the pressure release button to relieve pressure; then rotate CO
knob counterclockwise to unlock the cartridge safety lock. Lightly press door to open.
