Problem
Temperature settings

Normal Operating Sounds

You may hear a pinging noise caused by water
being picked up and thrown against the
condenser on rainy days or when the humidity
is high. This design feature helps remove
moisture and improve efficiency.

You may hear the thermostat click when the
compressor cycles on and off.

Possible Causes
The control has been
set to use Celsius.
Filter needs to be cleaned.
Frost protect automatically
activated.
Pipe temperature sensor
failure.
Room temperature sensor
failure.
What To Do
• Press and hold the Increase v / Decrease w pads at the
same time to switch to Fahrenheit settings.
• Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it.
NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the
automatic filter clean timer to reset. Clean the filter.
See the Care and Cleaning section. After cleaning,
replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.
• Turn the air conditioner off. Wait at least 3 minutes and
turn the air conditioner back on. If the code reappears,
call for service.

Water will collect in the base pan during high
humidity or on rainy days. The water may
overflow and drip from the outdoor side of
the unit.

The fan may run even when the compressor
does not.
