Before using your kettle for the first time or if you have not used it for a long time, fill it up to
the maximum level and boil the water, in compliance with the instructions in the following
paragraph. Then discard the water, Repeat 2 or 3 times.

3) USING YOUR MACHINE

Filling the Kettle

 Place the machine on a dry, flat, stable surface.
 Remove the kettle from the base. Open the lid by pressing the opening push-button (6)
and fill the kettle with water.
 The quantity of water can be seen through the water level (5). It must never be less than
the MIN mark or more than the MAX mark. Caution, if the kettle is overfull water may be
ejected when boiling.
 Close the lid and put the kettle on its base (7).
Never open the lid when the water is boiling.
Avoid contact with the steam from the spout.
