REPLACING IMPORTANT COMPONENTS

The unit should be checked at least twice a year. You must check the burners, the ignition, the interignition, the maximum
and minimum settings. Moreover, you should check the good functioning of the windscreen/draft hood and the air inlet.

REPLACING COMPONENTS

For any repairs, consult exclusively an authorised assistance centre and ask for original spare parts.
Before carrying out the disassembling of components and their replacement, shut off the gas valve.
Open the door and remove the front panel.
Pull out the oil collecting tray, then proceed to replace the most important components:
A- Piezoelectric Igniter
- Detach the high-voltage wire from the igniter
- Loosen the screw placed under the starting button with a Phillips screwdriver (Fig. 10).
- Replace the igniter
- Mount everything back by following the reverse order sequence.
B - Pilot spark-plug "Targhet" (Fig. 6 position 5)
- Detach the high-voltage wire
- Unscrew the nut (Fig. 6 position 8) using a 10mm-spanner
- Replace the spark-plug
- Mount everything back by following the reverse order sequence.
B - Pilot spark-plug "Ignition Ramp" (Fig. 7 position 5)
- Detach the high-voltage wire
- Unscrew the nut (Fig. 7 Pos. 8) with a 10 mm wrench.
- Replace the spark-plug
- Mount everything back by following the reverse order sequence.
C - Thermocouple (Fig. 6-7 pos. 4)
Be very careful of the very fragile glow plug in ceramic material placed nearby.
- Unscrew, with a 9 mm wrench, the thermocouple from the pilot (Fig. 6-7 pos.9) and from the thermostatic valve (Fig. 10).
- Remove the two fastons from the safety thermostat.
- Replace the thermocouple.
- Reassemble the whole by proceeding in reverse order.
D - Pilot burner "Targhet" (Fig. 6 position 6)
- Remove the spark-plug (see position B), since the ceramic part is quite fragile.
- Remove the thermocouple by using a 10mm-spanner (Fig. 6 position 4 and 8).
- Remove the gas connection by using a 10mm-spanner (Fig. 6 position 2), being careful not to misplace the nozzle (Fig. 6
position 7) which is hooked to the bicone (Fig. 6 position 3).
- Disassemble the pilot from the bracket of the burner by loosening the two M3 screws (Fig. 6 pos. 1).
- Change the pilot burner.
- Mount everything back by following the reverse order.
ATTENTION : Tighten the nut firmly (Fig. 6 position 2) and check the gas seal with soap bubbles.
D - Pilot burner "Ignition Ramp" (Fig. 7 position 6)
- Remove the gas connection by using a 10mm-spanner (Fig. 7 position 2).
- Disconnect the high-voltage wire.
- Loosen the two screws (Fig. 7 pos. 1) with a Phillips screwdriver.
- Remove the spark-plug (Fig. 7 position 5) and the thermocouple (Fig. 7 position 4).
- Change the pilot assembly (Fig. 7 position 6).
- Mount everything back by following the reverse order.
ATTENTION : Check the gas seal with soap bubbles.
E - Thermostat valve (Fig. 10)
- Pull out the pipe from its sheath.
- Remove the gas pipe from the valve outlet
- Undo the 4 screws of the upper gas inlet flange
ATTENTION : Carefully check the O.R. gas seal.
- Remove the thermocouple with a 9mm-spanner.
