Insert the barrel of the 25mm eyepiece into the
focuser of the telescope and tighten the setscrew.

Squeeze the tabs on both sides of the battery
compartment cover while lifting upward. Install 8 AA
batteries into the battery holders. Be sure to install
the batteries in their correct polarity, matching the
+ and - terminals as shown on the battery holders.
Snap the battery cover back in place.

To move the telescope, use the directional arrow
buttons to slew the scope in the desired direction.
When navigating the menu system, use the keypad
buttons labeled UP and DOWN (#6 and #9, not
the directional slew buttons) to scroll through menu
options. Press ENTER to make a selection or BACK
to return to the previous menu.

Remove the two silver nuts from the threaded posts
on the telescope tube next to the focuser. Place the
finderscope bracket over the threaded posts with
the large window facing the front of the telescope.
Replace the nuts to hold the finder in place.

Plug the 6-pin connector of the hand control into
"HC" port on the side of the mount. Place the hand
control in the holster by inserting the narrow end into
the holder and sliding it downward.

The finderscope has a clear plastic tab that insulates
the battery, preventing it from discharging during
shipment. Pull this tab out of the finderscope to allow
it to function correctly.

Remove the lens cap from the front of the telescope
and turn on the power switch at the base of the
motorized fork.
