• Check the helmet before every ride for visible damage or wear, and
tight fit, even if there is no visible damage from the outside, the hel-
met should be replaced and destroyed after every hard stroke or deep
scratches. The helmet must at latest be replaced 7 years after the date
of production, since an old or damaged helmet can no longer provide
effective protection against injuries.
• Please do not alter or remove any parts of the helmet. It could lead to
dangerous consequences.
• The effect of coatings (paint), adhesives, detergents, chemicals and
solvents, severely damage the protective effect of the helmet. Clean
the helmet with lukewarm water.
• The product should not be stored behind glass panes, e.g. in the car
(fuel-glass effect) or near heating or warming sources. Uneven helmet
surfaces and bubble formation are signs of thermal damage and ren-
der the helmet unusable.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
HOW SHOULD THE HELMET FIT (FIG. 1)?
To ensure that the helmet fits correctly, it needs to be adapted to its
wearer. The helmet should clasp around the head well and should be
worn level. The front edge of the helmet should rest one to two fingers
wide above the nasal root so that the forehead remains protected, but it
does not hang too deep in the face and the sight is not impaired. Whether
the helmet is fastened securely can be tested by shaking the head lightly
with the chin straps open.
HOW DO I CORRECTLY ADJUST THE HELMET (FIG. 1-4)?
The integrated adjustment system can be continuously adjusted. In
order to reduce the helmet width, turn the rotary knob A to the right. In
order to increase it, turn the rotary knob A to the left. The chin strap C
consists of a long circumferential part and a counter part. If necessary,
the circumferential part of the chin strap can also be pulled through the
middle suspension point in the helmet, in order to set it correctly. The
helmet must sit firmly and horizontally on the head. In order to check
for the proper tension, the helmet must be put on and the safety lock B
closed. The strap divider E should sit below the ears, the strap should not
cover the ears. When the mouth is open, the chin strap C should press
against the chin. After adjusting the straps, the protruding strap ends can
be secured with the retaining ring D and covered with the chin guard.
FIXING OF THE SUN VISOR (FIG. 5)
If necessary, the sun visor can be inserted into the mountings attached
to the helmet. Care should thereby be taken, since the mountings in the
helmet can not be repaired and an excessive use of the mountings can
lead to a widening of the mountings. In this case, the sun visor should no
longer be used.
LED TAIL LIGHT
The taillight is installed in the rotary knob A of the size adjustment system.
Caution! It does not replace any lighting technical equipment for bicycles.
It only serves the purpose of better visibility. The light is activated by
pressing the centrally mounted push button. The functions are: 1 x press
for flashing light, 2 x press for steady light, 3 x press for Off. The LED light
is not suitable for wet conditions and its function is also not guaranteed
in wet conditions. Make sure that the light is not obscured (coat collar,
backpack, etc.).
REPLACEMENT OF THE LED BATTERY (FIG. 6-8)
The LED light is equipped with a CR 2025 (3V) battery. Make sure that
the battery is working or replace it. In order to replace the battery, you
have to adjust the helmet size to its maximum (Fig. 6). Open the holder by
applying light pressure on one of the ends (Arrow fig. 7). Please remove
the red hood with the push button and then carefully lever the platinum
carrier including the inserted battery out of the adjusting ring. The battery
can then if necessary be pressed out of the platinum carrier with the
help of a pin. Proceed vice versa to re-assemble the LED unit. Make sure
that you have thereby again adjusted the maximum adjusting ring size
and have appropriately placed the retaining straps into the adjusting ring.
Make sure that the adjustment ring is functioning properly. You should
exclusively only use the above mentioned batteries for the product.
Please remove empty batteries from the product and dispose of them
in an environmentally sound manner. Remove the batteries, when the
product is not in use.
