This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm
the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a
specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling
service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.

Safety Instructions

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer
will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• This device falls under protection class I. It is therefore essential that the device be earthed. Have a qualified
person carry out the electric connection.
• Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.
• Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an authorised dealer replace it if necessary.
• Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
• Not covered by warranty: damage caused by user modifications to the device, destruction of rotating mechanical
seal by dry-running or addition of foreign bodies in water, blockage of running wheel through foreign bodies,
transport damage, damage caused by unauthorized persons.
• This device should not be used by children and persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capacities, or
by persons lacking knowledge or experience, except if those persons have received, through a person
responsible for their safety, of supervision or prior instructions as regards the use of this device.
Before Start-Up, Note the Following
• The pump can be connected to any shock-proof plug which has been installed according to regulations. The plug
must have a supply voltage of 230VAC~50Hz. Fuse min. 6 amp.
When used near swimming pools or garden ponds and in their area of protection, the pump
must be equipped with a ground-fault circuit interrupter with a nominal trip current of max.
30mA (according to VDE 0100, parts 702 and 738). Do not operate the pump when people are in
the garden or pool! Please contact your electrician!
• Before starting to run your new submersible pump, please have the ground connection and the zero conductor
checked by an expert.
• Fault current breaker switch must comply with the safety regulations of the power plants and they must work
faultlessly.
• The electrical connections must be protected from moisture.
• If there is danger of flooding, the electrical connections must be taken to higher ground.
• Circulation of aggressive fluids as well as the circulation of abrasive materials must be avoided at all costs.
• The submersible motor-driven pump must be protected from frost.
• The pump must be protected from running dry.
• Access on the part of children should also be prevented with appropriate measures.
