The product must be installed only by qualified persons, according to the local safety standards and regula-
tions. It is classified as Class II, in accordance with EN 60065 and, for this reason, it shall not be connected
to the protective earth (PE) of the supply mains.
The product must be used in accordance with the operating instructions of this manual.
Installation warnings
•
Use only the original power cable, installing the product so that the mains plug is easily accessible.
•
The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and thus it shall be installed indoors, in a
dry place.
•
Humidity and condensation could damage the product. In case of condensation, wait until the product
is dry before using it.
•
Don't install the product above or close to heat sources, in dusty places or where it might come into
contact with corrosive substances.
•
Leave enough space around the product housing to ensure sufficient ventilation; an excessive tempera-
ture and/or an excessive heating may affect the performance and the life of the product.
•
In the event that the unit is fixed to the wall, use the proper screw anchors suitable to the characteristics
of the fixing support.
In accordance with the European Directive 2004/108/EC (EMC), the product shall be installed using devices,
cables and connectors that allow to comply with this directive requirements for fixed installations.
Earthing of the antenna system
The product must be connected to the earth electrode of the antenna system, in accordance with standard
EN60728-11. It is recommended to follow the provisions of the standard EN60728-11 and do not connect this
terminal to the protective earth (PE) of the supply mains.
IMPORTANT:
Only trained and authorized personnel can perform maintenance operations on the product.
Never remove the lid of the feeder as there are live parts inside.
2.1 PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
FRPRO is a high selectivity cluster headend unit (channel groups) that allows the filtering and amplification of
several TV channels. The UHF band clusters can be programmed per channel, from a minimum of 1 channel
to a maximum of 6 channels. The maximum number of clusters per headend is 6 (6 channels * 6 clusters =
36 channels) for the FRPRO 06 series.
The headend unit can be programmed through a keyboard and a LCD screen or through PC software
(FR PRO, downlodable from www.fracarro.com).
The configuration of a headend unit can be copied quickly and easily onto another unit of the same model or
series (i.e. FRPRO10X for the FIL10, FRPRO6 for the FIL6) by using a USB pen drive.
The product is equipped with the cluster self-alignment function that allows the automatic regulation of the
gain so that the signals are equalized at the output and have the best noise figure.
The product cools naturally without the use of fans.
