Maintenance of minimum temperature of water in tub and
anti-freeze protection of the pipes ("Smart Winter").
At regular intervals, the system reads the actual temperature. If
it is below the minimum admissible value (15 °C - 59 °F), the heater
and the filtering pump are automatically activated until the tempe-
rature rises above that value.
"Smart Winter" lets you make use of a special probe to monitor the
temperature of the compartment under the tub, which contains the all of
the pipes of the plumbing circuit. In extreme conditions, the system may
turn on this protection (indicated on the display by the message ICE). The
pumps will be turned on according to the following configurations:
With limitation of electrical consumption
The pump is turned on at high speed, and turns off after 1 minute.
During this cycle the heater is turned off but will be reactivated later.
Without limitation of electrical consumption
The operating mode remains the same, except for the heater,
which remains operative.
The pumps are turned on at preset intervals, depending on
the temperature:
- temperature between 12 and 15 ° C (54 - 59 °F):
Every 2 hours
- temperature between 9 and 12 ° C (48 - 54 °F):
every hour
- temperature between 6 and 9 ° C (42 - 48 °F):
every 30 minutes
- temperatures at or below 6 ° C (42 °F):
every 15 minutes
version without blower
NOTES
- If the temperature of the compartment drops rapidly, the frequen-
cy of activation increases.
- If it becomes necessary to turn on the anti-freeze protection during
the filtering or rapid filtering ("Boost") cycles, those cycles will be su-
spended and they will resume when the anti-freeze cycle is complete.
- If it is necessary to perform an anti-freeze cycle while a function
activated by the user is in progress, the cycle will be activated 15
minutes after the end of the function.
- If this protection is active, the spotlight may still be turned on.
■ Water filtering
The water needs to be filtered to keep it clean, clear and inviting.
The pump runs the water through a cartridge filter in the skimmer
(see the chapter on "Maintenance of cartridge filter"). This opera-
tion takes place based on a cycle during the day (filtering cycle)
which repeats every 24 hours.
The hot tub is also equipped with a special kind of filtering ("Bo-
ost"). This is instantaneous filtering, which differs from the normal
cycle due to its brief, intense duration.
NOTE: the pump has two speeds: a low one used to circu-
late and filter the water, and a higher speed to activate the
hydromassage jets.
If "Performance", the optional external filtering group (spa-
pak), is connected to the hot tub electronic control box, its
pump will work at the same time as the hot tub pump, but
only when the hot tub pump is operating at low speed. It is
activated using the control panel, during a filtering cycle, or
when the water temperature is measured.
