Replacing the clipping head:
The clipping head is a wear part. Despite good care, the cutting performance will diminish. At this point, the clipping head should be replaced.
The clipping head can be ordered individually as a spare part (ref. no. 18477). When replacing the clipping head, you can remove the residue
hair within the clippers using the brush. Press in the centre of the shearing blades to remove them (fig. 7). Place the new clipping head back
onto the clippers as shown in fig. 8. Make sure that the locking mechanism is positioned properly and press the clipping head onto the device
until it engages.
Cleaning the device:
Wipe off your device occasionally using a moist cloth, then rub it dry.
5. Troubleshooting
What to do, when...
... the device cannot be switched on?
• is the battery empty? Connect the power pack and charge the clippers
• is the clipping head dry? The clipping head must be oiled
... the clipping head does not operate smoothly?
• the clipping head must be oiled
• the top and bottom blades can become stuck when not in use for longer periods of time
... the charging display does not light up when charging?
• make sure that the power pack is connected properly
... the device switches off by itself?
• the battery is empty. Charge the clippers
... the battery can no longer be charged?
• the battery or the power pack is defective. The power pack can be re-ordered. If the battery is defective, then the device must be
disposed of properly.
