Security
-People with pacemakers or
similar medical devices:
Note that an electromagnetic field is
generated when the cooktop is on.
However, it is unlikely that this would
affect a pacemaker or a similar device.
If in doubt, contact the manufacturer
or your physician.
-Keep magnetized items, cre-
dit cards, discs, etc. away from the
cooktop while in operation. Damage
may occur.
-Do not touch the cooktop
or surrounding areas during or imme-
diately after use. The cooktop may
be hot even though it is dark in color.
Wait for residual heat indicators to di-
sappear.
-Protect your hands with
oven mitts or handles when using the
appliance. Use only dry, heat-resis-
tant handles. Wet handles used on
hot surfaces can cause vapor burns.
Do not allow the handles to touch hot
heating elements. Do not use towels
or other bulky items near the applian-
ce.
-Flammable materials must
not be stored in or near the cooktop.
-Do not store items in the
appliance when not in use. Items
could melt or fire from residual heat or
if the appliance turns on inadvertently.
Always change the cooking zone (s)
After use.

-The metal elements kept in
a drawer under the cooktop can be
heated when the appliance is used for
a longer period of time. Be careful.

ging garments when operating the
appliance, a fire hazard may occur.
-Never heat an empty pan
-Be careful not to drop an-
ything on the ceramic surface of the
cooktop.
