SYMPTOM
Burner fails to ignite

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBABLE CAUSE
1. More warm-up time needed
2. Gas pressure is low
3. Burner nozzle blockage
4. Ignition system not sparking
1. Not enough time for thermo-
couple to warm up
2. Gas pressure too low
3. Thermocouple needs replacing,
or loose
4. Gas supply is low
1. Main burner valve not fully open
2. Clogged burner oriface
3. Gas pressure too low
4. Fuel supply too low
1. Unit has been connected to a
propane gas supply instead of
natural gas
REMEDY
1. Relight, holding control valve
button for 45 seconds
2. Inspect natural gas supply
3. Replace Burner Nozzle
4. Inspect igniter wires for dam-
age, be sure spark gap is .195"
1. Keep Control valve button de-
pressed for at least 45 seconds
2. Check gas supply and regulator
3. Replace or tighten themocouple
connection
4. Contact gas supplier
1. Be sure main burner valve is
fully opened
2. Replace burner
3. Be sure regulator is operating
properly
4. Consult gas supplier
1. Check gas source and replace
with natural gas supply
