The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Undo the trunk upholstery then remove the rear lights and the bumper.

If there are end lid on the chassis extension and drawbar eye then remove them (these
–
will not be reinstalled later).
Lower the exhauster and the ventilating motor on the left then remove the heat insulating
–
plate.
Slide the sides of the drag hook body into the chassis extension then according to the
–
drawing loosely fix it at positions „a" and „b" with the attached bonding units and
accessories (2). (The accessory plate 2 shall be positioned into the right side chassis
extension).
Set the drag hook into mid-position then tighten all the screws.

Connect the electric wire cracking the rear bundle according to the regulations.

Cut out the bumper according to the attached templet.
–
Reinstall the heat insulating plate, the bumper, the ventilating motor and the rear lights,
–
then replace the trunk upholstery.
Installation of the drag hook can be completed only by specialized shop.
