SAFETY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.Our electric pumps are delivered with a factory leakproof plug nº 38 to avoid oil spilling during transport.
Before using the pump, this plug must be removed and replaced by the air intake plug nº 39, supplied sepa-
rately, to permit the air circulation in the reservoir.Check the oil lever and refill if necessary.
2.Before operating the pump, the three-position lever of the valve nº 4 (fig. 1) must be placed on its neutral
one " C", which coincides with the mid position.
3.To start the pump motor, press on the thermal protector switch nº 3 (fig.1).
4.To avoid making mistakes in the connection of the hoses, note carefully the following instructions:
-to make the cylinder piston advance or push, the valve lever nº 4 (fig.1) should be placed on
the position where the user observes that the piston goes out.
-to retract the piston, place the valve lever on the opposite side.
5.These pumps have an in-built safety valve nº 16 set at 10150 psi (700 kg/cm2) as their
maximum working pressure. They are also fitted with an external safety valve nº 34, factory set at 8120 psi
(560 kg/cm2) as the standard working pressure. If a special job requires to increase the working pressure up
to 10150 psi, turn the screw nº 34 clockwise until the necessary pressure is reached. To reduce pressure,
turn this screw anti-clockwise.
6.Before switching off the motor, place the valve lever nº 4 ( fig.1) on lowering position to release comple-
tely the internal pressure of the pump. The motor can be now turned off by means of the thermal protector
switch nº 3 ( fig.1)
7.The electric unit of the pumps is a three-phase 220 / 380 (50/60Hz). 50Hz / 230/400 V. 60Hz / 265/460 V
motor .To modify voltage, follow the international rules on the matter.
8.Low-voltage machines have dangerous rotating and conductive parts, as well as possibly hot surfaces. All
transport, connection, commissioning and maintenance work has to be carried out by qualified and respon-
sable technical personnel, always with the machine out of operation, disconnected and previously secured
against starting.
9.The electric pump is fitted with electric motor , manufactured according to Directive 72/23/CEE with refe-
rence to low tension electric material and with magnetothermic disjunctor.
10.VERY IMPORTANT. After making the electrical connection, check that the motor rotates in the same
direction as the arrow.
