FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar applications
such as:
Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other professional
environments.
Farms.
The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a residential
character.
Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.

INITIAL OPERATION

For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boil-processes with fresh water (without coffee). These
boil-processes are absolutely necessary.
Once all the water has passed through, switch the appliance off and let it cool down
during 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water.

PREPARATION OF COFFEE

WHEN YOU OPERATE YOUR APPLIANCE, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PUT THE LID ON THE THERMOS
FLASK.
Open the lid of the water tank.
Using the thermos flask, pour the desired amount of water into the water tank. Make sure
not to overfill by respecting the maximum level indicated on the water tank.
Place the filter holder into the coffee maker. Insert a paper filter (size 4) in the filter holder
and add the desired quantity of ground coffee (1 teaspoon per cup, approximately 6g).
Please note: fold the bottom and the side edges of the paper filter in such a way that it fits
perfectly in the filter holder.
Never forget to close the lid of the water tank and to place one of both thermos flasks
without its lid on the plate before switching on your coffee maker.
Press the "power" button to switch on the coffee maker. The pilot light of the switch will be
illuminated, indicating that your appliance is working.
When you remove the jug from the appliance, a non-drip valve will automatically operate
to stop any drops of coffee dripping. Replacement of the carafe automatically opens the
non-drip valve and allows remaining coffee to filter through into the jug.
Wait until the brewing process is finished and the filter has run empty before removing the
jug.
Wait for the coffee to be brewed and for the filter to be empty. Switch off the appliance
by putting the ON/OFF switch on "0" and unplug the appliance.
Take off the thermos flask and screw the lid on the thermos. The thermos flask allows you to
keep the coffee warm for some time.
To pour coffee, you have to remove the lid of the thermos flask.
