CHaNGING THE STRap
Your Boeing Model 1 is supplied with its own tool to allow the removal
and assembly of its strap which is retained in place using a bar and two
threaded inserts.

fully extended. This can be achieved
by holding the small end of the tool
and rotating the main body clockwise.
2. Locate the drive bit into the
threaded insert you wish to remove.
Rotate the main body anti-clockwise
to loosen and remove the threaded
insert. Support the strap when
removing to ensure that it isn't
damaged or is dropped. Repeat for the
opposite threaded insert, removing the
strap via the slots in the case lugs when
clear. Remove the bar from the strap if
required. Repeat for the opposing side
if required.
FITTING A STRAP
1. Ensure that the hexagon drive bit is fully
extended. This can be achieved by holding
the small end of the tool and rotating the
main body clockwise.
2. Load a threaded insert to the drive bit,
hold the small end of the tool and rotate the
main body anti-clockwise. This will capture
the threaded insert ensuring that it will not
fall or become loose.
3. Locate the threaded insert in the watch case
and turn the main body of the tool clockwise
to assemble. Assemble the threaded insert a
short distance so that it is loaded. Remove the
tool and repeat for the other side.
4. Load a bar into the end of the strap
ensuring that it protrudes equally both
sides. Load its protruding ends to the slot in
the underside of the watch case. With the
hexagon drive bit protruding from the tool,
locate into one of the threaded inserts and
tighten by turning the tool clockwise. Repeat
for the other side. Repeat for the opposing
end if required.
