Warning: Carefully remove all parts from the shipping carton. If any of the pieces
are not packed, contact your nearest dealer for assistance if parts are missing or
damage.
1. Mount the grinder on a bench is required in order to prevent
movement. Tighten the tool using four bolts.
2. Install the spark breakers (3) in the wheel guard (4) using the
bolts provided in the kit. Keep the distance between the wheel
guard and the wheel as short as possible but it must not be over
2mm. DO NOT USE the bench grinder without spark protection to
avoid burns and fires.
3. Mount the wheel guard and keep the distance between the
wheel guard and the wheel not over 2 mm. (see the figure on the
right). The adjustment of the wheel guard is intended to reduce the
damage in the grinding wheel. It must be gradually adjusted to keep
the distance between the wheel and the wheel cover as short as
possible but it must not be over 2 mm.
4. Before installing the wheels, check their quality. Try them
according to a sound test (hammer the wheels. The sound should
be clear)
5. Install the wheels fastening the wing nuts included in the kit.
6. Switch the tool on without using the wheels at least for 5 minutes
to be sure about the mounting of the pieces. Keep away from the
work area to avoid injuries.

Warning: Do not operate the tool continuously to avoid overheating. Always wear hearing
and eye protections to avoid hazardous situations.
WARNING:
Always disconnect the bench grinder from the power source before
performing any assembly or adjustment. If you must replace a
grinding wheel, be sure to obtain one with a safe rated speed at
least as high as the "no load speed" RPM marked on the data plate
of the grinder.
1. Remove the flange nuts and the work rest
2. Remove the screws and the eye shield
3. Loosen the three bolts and remove the wheel guard.
4. Loosen the wing nut using a hexagon wrench
5. Install a new grinding wheel avoiding contact with parts of the
tool and tighten the wheel properly.
6. Adjust the wing nut
7. While tightening the wing nut hold the wheel.
8. Install the wheel guard and the eye shield
9. Adjust the tool rest and the eye shield
10. Rotate the grinding tool with the hand to verify a free movement
11. Final check: Turn the grinder on and let it come up to speed and
idle for a couple of minutes
