Eikon TACTIL
21540
Home automation control device, 6 programmable buttons for managing three
functional units for single loads or scenarios, to be completed with a label and
Eikon Tactil cover plate - 3 modules.
The device is composed of three touch switches that, via the bus, enable controlling relay
actuators, dimmer actuators and roller shutter actuators. These switches can also be configured
in the speaker system to switch on and adjust the volume, change song and source, activate
audio monitoring and the sleep function; they can also be used individually for calling up
scenarios.
The device is to be completed with the Eikon Tactil cover plate; the buttons however react
to mechanical pressure even without fitting the cover plate so the configuration and the first
operating test can be performed in this condition.
FEATURES.
• Rated supply voltage Busbar: 29 V
• Current draw from Bus with all LEDs off: 17 mA
• Maximum current draw from Bus with all LEDs on or at low brightness, white: 35 mA
• Terminals: TP BUS
• Operating temperature: -5 °C to +45 °C (indoor)
OPERATION.
• Device settings:
- colour: all the LEDs are changed at the same time by choosing the colour from a list or by
setting the RGB coordinates using the special control panel menu
- touch sensitivity (i.e., the amount of pressure required to actuate a command)
- buzzer on/off
- behaviour of the LEDs with the device on standby (off or with low brightness)
• Possible functions of the buttons:
- ON/OFF switch
- roller shutters control
- dimmer control
- activation of 6 scenarios
- switching on/off and volume control
- changing song and source
- audio monitoring
- sleep
• Proximity function:
- when the user draws her hand near, the device goes into "normal" operation and the LEDs
light up brightly.
- if after 10 seconds no action is carried out, the device will go back onto standby and the
LEDs will switch off or reduce their brightness.
The illuminated icons guide the user in choosing the commands as they identify the
points where any pressure will trigger the device.
These icons can be customized with symbols and stickers to be affixed on the
corresponding buttons (art. 21847).
• Cover plate cleaning function: the device recognizes simultaneously pressing multiple keys
due to wiping with a cloth so no actions are carried out unless you dwell too long on the same
area of the cover plate.
CONFIGURATION.
FOR THE OPERATIONS OF INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION, SEE THE By-me
SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL ATTACHED TO THE CONTROL UNIT.
The configuration operations must be carried out without the cover plate in order to access the
configuration button and the buttons for selecting the functional unit.
• Functional units: 3 buttons, each functional unit can belong to at most 4 different groups
• Selection of the functional unit in the configuration phase:
- press the configuration button and then the desired button to select the relevant functional unit.
- configuration starts when the red LED comes on and ends when it goes out.
INSTALLATION RULES.
Installation should be carried out in compliance with the current regulations regarding the
installation of electrical systems in the country where the products are installed.
• The device can be installed on Eikon Tactil cover plates with 3 and 4 modules.
In the case of cover plates with 4 modules use the appropriate blank module art. 21041 to
close the unused module.
• The device cannot be installed on the BS 5M cover plate (2+blank+2).
• On the same cover plate used for art. 21540 it is not possible to install touch devices powered
by mains voltage (art. 21174, 21119, 21122, 21134).
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE.
