Smart GeigerPro SGP-001 Installation Guide
The Smart Geiger Pro app is available for iOS and Android.
Compatible with smartphones: iOS 7.0 or later, Andriod 4.2 or later.
Open the App Store / Google Play Store and search for the "Smart Geiger Pro" app.
Download and install the app as usual. Then just open the app by tapping.
After opening the app you will see the instructions and then the main screen. After the app request,
plug the Smart Geiger into the headphone jack. With the original Apple adapter, the Smart Geiger
also works on the iPhone 7 and newer. Allow the "Smart Geiger Pro" to access the "microphone" (for
iOS devices) or photos, media and files on your device (for Android devices). The initial setup will be
executed. Please wait until the initial setup is over. On the main screen you can see the current
status of your measurement. In the "Settings" area - (tap on the three-line symbol in the upper right
corner) you can set the measuring interval, start calibration and activate the acoustic signal. In the
"Save" area - you can save your measurement results and later, by opening the "History" area, you
can view your previously saved measurements.
Set the desired measurement interval and start the measurement by tapping the "On" button.
The measurement time can be limited to 3, 5 or 10 minutes on the Smart Geiger Pro.
The longer the measurement interval, the more accurate the Mini Geiger counter displays the
measurement results. Above all, when you activate the device, it measures radiation of a few
particles per minute (CPM, counting), which come mainly from natural earth sources and the universe.
The number of sieverts per hour (μSv / h) is on average below 0.5 μSv / h.
To measure higher radiation doses, radioactive material is needed.
If the result is more than 0.5 μSv / h - High radiation exposure, please measure again for more than
10 minutes. A measurement result of more than 50 μSv / h - means very high radiation exposure,
leave the area as soon as possible . The device with 10 built-in semiconductor sensors is very
sensitive and responds to shocks on the device or sensor.
To ensure measurement accuracy, the manufacturer recommends keeping the device quiet and
making sure it is right in front of the test object.
Do not move the device during the measurement.
Also avoid impacts on the device or sensor.
Activate the flight mode and deactivate the WLAN during the measurement.
Incoming calls can affect the measurement result.
If the sensor shows the abnormal values or you want to use the sensor with other smartphones,
perform the calibration!
Please avoid exceeding the permissible temperatures.
Avoid any contact of the meter with water!
