POOR SPRAY PATTERN
Cause
Material not thin enough
Diaphragm under lid of the
cup not installed or dirty
Pick up Tube Clogged or
loose
No pressure in cup
Blocked air passageway in
sprayer body
MATERIAL DRIPS OR RUNS ON SPRAYED SURFACE
Cause
Too much material being
sprayed
Slow pass
Material too diluted
Spraying too close to painting
surface
HEAVY MATERIAL ON ONE SIDE OF THE PATTERN
Cause
Air cap holes partially blocked
Fix
Thin with water or appropriate solvent
Install or clean Diaphragm
Clean or insert Pick-Up Tube
Tighten cup into sprayer
Clean passageway (4mm vent hole
underneath the cup lid)
Fix
Turn fluid control dial anti-clockwise( - )
Increase the speed of your pass
Add un-thinned material to accomplish
correct run time
Hold sprayer at right angle to the
painting surface and at a distance of 2-
12 inches
Fix
Clean air cap thoroughly
MATERIAL DRY OR ROUGH ON SPRAYED SURFACE
Cause
Not enough material being
sprayed
Sprayer held too far from
surface
Spray passes not well
overlapped
PAINT LEAKING FROM FRONT OF GUN
Cause
Worn or damaged nozzle
Debris or dried material in
nozzle
SPRAYING IN A PULSATING MANNER
Cause
Material cup is almost empty
Blocked material passages
Worn or damaged paint

MATERIAL IS SPLATTERING
Cause
Viscosity is too thick

Fix
Turn fluid control dial clockwise (+)
Hold sprayer at a distance of 2-12
inches, or closer for small objects
Overlap passes by about 1/3 width
over previous pass
Fix
Replace nozzle
Clean nozzle
Fix
Refill material cup
Thoroughly clean material passages
with water or mineral spirits using
supplied brush
Clean nozzle or replace if necessary
Install or clean diaphragm
Clean or replace air filter
