Cleaning
Your hearing aids have a protective coating. However, if not
cleaned regularly you may damage the hearing aids or cause
personal injury.
Clean your hearing aids daily with a soft, dry tissue.

Never use running water or immerse the hearing

aids in water.
Never apply pressure while cleaning.

products, special care sets, or more information on how to
keep your hearing aids in good condition.
Custom-made ear pieces (earmolds),
ear pieces, tubes
Cerumen (ear wax) may accumulate on the earmolds or
ear pieces. This may affect sound quality.
• For hearing aids with a standard tube (OpenTube, ThinTube):
Clean the earmolds or ear pieces daily, clean the tubes as
required.
Exchange the earmolds or ear pieces and tubes approximately
every three to six months, or sooner if you notice cracks or
other changes.
• For hearing aids with earhook:
Clean the earmolds or ear pieces daily.
Ask your Hearing Care Specialist to clean the tubes or to
exchange the earmolds or ear pieces and tubes as needed.
