5 Description
All function units are selected from the front keypad. The display shows
the pH reading, the temperature and the pH-meter status.
5.1 Display

5.2 Rear panel
•
BNC socket for pH electrode.
•
Mini BNC socket for the temperature probe.

6 Operation
Once unit is unpacked check packing list. Visually check that all goods. Keep
the package for some days.
6.1 Placing batteries
•
Place the batteries on the case. (Rear side)
•
Pay attention on polarity.
•
Replace batteries when «LoBat» appears on the display.
6.2 pH electrode and temperature probe connection
The electrode must be stored with its immersion cap filled with electrolyte.
The electrode and the temperature p robe must be connected on the rear
panel. See 5.2.
To connect the electrode, remove the short-circuit connector from the pH-
meter and to connect the electrode to BNC socket. Please keep the BNC
socket with the short-circuit connector when the pH electrode is not
connected on the socket.
Note: The BNC connectors are extracted and placed turning 1/4 turn.
Keep the electrode with its immersion cap until use.
CAUTION:
The immersion cap contend KCl 3M as electrolyte which is corrosive.
Take suitable cautions to avoid electrolyte be in contact with skin or
wear. Avoid any contact with eyes.
6.3 Panel
Switch on the pH-meter by pressing «ON/OFF» key.
Wait until the unit act before to press any other key.
