STATEMENT OF CONFORMITY: Hereby, SILENTRON s.r.l., declares that the above mentioned equipment is in compliance with the
essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC.
Installation : installation, maintenance and/or modification of the system must be carried out by qualified personnel. There could be
special technical norms to be respected. Warning: this device is for indoor use only. Supplying by alkaline batteries: replace the
batteries by equivalent models only, place them and connect them according to polarity as shown on the instructions. Dispose of the
exhausted batteries according to existing norms ; in case of wrecking, pull out batteries before destroying the unit : in case of liquid
dripping, wear silicone gloves to protect hands.
Responsibility : the manufacturer is not responsible for any consequence of improper installation and/or maintenance, improper and/or
missed use of the supplied units. Warranty: Three years warranty, submitted to conditions of General Catalogue - Battery excluded.
HOW IT WORKS
Every human body movement - or similar - within the protected area trigggers off an alarm, and L.E.D. switches on. After the alarm went
off, the unit is blocked for 2 minutes of total quietness i.e. no movements in that area - so it will not detect - so as to reduce battery
consumption in very busy areas.
PIR TOP must be wall mounted considering the type of area to protect and the its range cover. Use its bracket for a better orientation.
When installing the unit in areas with great whirls of cold or warm air and/or animals around make an accurate sensitivity and pulse
count adjustment and place switch on 3 whenever there is high risks of false alarms due to the above reasons.
TESTING by pressing TEST button (BEEP) you cancel detector block so that every movement is marked by L.E.D. switching on and
triggers off an alarm. After 2' the unit goes back to its normal functioning and block is re-set.
OPERATIONS - please follow step by step

Mount unti to wall such as to obtain best protection on a larger area (preferably in a corner)

Adjust SENSITIVITY: around 4 x 5m area = 40%
∗
Adjust PULSE COUNT : x 1 = alarm goes off after one step into protected area x 3 = alarm goes off after 3 steps
∗
Set control panel ready for programming and place battery into detector : a BEEP from control panel will confirm it.

Close the detector and wait for 3 min. for adapting the electronic components onboard.

Press on TEST button and check on protected area and modify adjustments, if necessary. Testing must be carried out with detector
closed and without people in the covered area. Every opening of detector will cause a "tamper" tranmission
TAMPER AGAINST TEARING: this is possible only when PIR TOP is mounted on a flat wall. Replace tamper spring with the longer
one supplied and make a hole in the back cover of detector where the tamper spring is located.
SUPERVISION: PIR TOP transmits a signal of "being alive" every 22 min. that is managed by supervised control panel SILENTRON -
see "supervision function" of control panel used.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Power: 1 or 2 9V alkaline batteries of GP1604 type - Consumption: 14uA in stand by and 20mA in transmission - Lifespan around
18months with 1 battery and 36 with two - low battery supervision both on unit (BEEP) and on control panel.
Functions : it indicates a human movement within a 80sqm area (see drawing)- sensitivity and pulse count regulation - temperature
compensation - supervision - tampered against opening and tearing.
L.E.D. indications and controls: test button with L.E.D. on for 2' when in alarm with its automatic return to normal status.
Radio transmissions : codified at the factory (40bits) - frequency and power according to regulations - 100mt radio emission range
cover in open air: the covered range might decrease very much in indoor use, depending of walls, floors and so on. It needs to verify
the radio covered area before fixing the device.

NOTA: the model 5411 is different from 5011 only for typical double band radio emissions (according to CE regulations): this technical
solution increases the security performances of the device.
