Symptom
Power doesnt turn on.
The unit doesnt operate.

When problems occur with disc playback, an error message appears on the display. Refer to the
table below to identify the problem, then take the suggested corrective action. If the error persists,
contact your dealer or your nearest PIONEER Service Center.

Cause
Leads and connectors are incor-
rectly connected.
The fuse is blown.
Noise and other factors are causing
the built-in microprocessor to oper-
ate incorrectly.
The remote control operation mode
is incorrect.
The remote control code is incor-
rect.
Battery power is low.
Cables are not connected correctly. Connect the cables correctly.
The volume level is low.
The attenuator is on.
Cause
Dirty disc
Scratched disc
The temperature of this unit is out-
side the normal operating range
The disc does not have the same re-
gion number as this unit
This type of disc cannot be played
by this unit
The disc is loaded upside down

Confirm once more that all connections are
correct.
Rectify the reason for the fuse blowing, then
replace the fuse. Be very sure to install the
correct fuse with the same rating.
Turn the unit off and then on.
Switch to the correct remote control mode.

Adjust the volume level.
Turn the attenuator off.
