F.
Nozzle 1A (joints from 8 to 12
mm)
Required tools
To prepare mortar:
Trowel, Mixer or Cement mixer.
In jointing modus: Pointing trowel, caulking
trowel, brush or a sponge for finish.
Driller
A driller is required to rotate the endless
crew.
It must have a speed variator.
A minimum power of 300 watts for a corded
drill or a minimum of 14 volts for a cordless
drill is required.
Use the speed variator to do 300 to 500 ro-
tations/minute.
Rotating too fast will lead to unnecessary
machine wear and may lead to cavitation in
the machine's tank.
Mortar
The Projoint accepts any king of mortar.
However, it is advised to use at max a 3 mm
granulometry for a maximal efficiency.
Ready to use mortars are compatible (ex:
Parex, PRB, Weber, etc.). Their dosage is
ideal and assures a continuity in color.
It is possible to use your own mortar. It must
be unctuous enough so that grains of sand
do not agglomerate.
Dosage example: 3 volumes of sand 0/2 for
1 volume of hydraulic lime (or 1⁄2 volume of
hydraulic lime and 1⁄2 volume of white ce-
ment).
Some unsuitable sands may require a
dosage of 2 volumes of sand for 1 volume of
hydraulic lime.
Sand / cement mortars may require the ad-
dition of a plasticizer to make them softer.
Assembly
Coupling with the
driller
Remove the endless screw from the tank
and install it on the driller.
Engage the endless screw in the tank, and
then turn the screw lock.
The machine is ready to use.
The nozzles
The accessories bag contains nozzles.
See the "Description" section for the nozzles
list.
For the various sizes and deepness of the
joints, 2 different types of nozzles are sup-
plied:
-
N°1A – for joints from 8 to 12 mm.
-
N°1B – for joints from 12mm (for
brick walls or pool platters).
Nozzles can be fitted at the end of the tank.
Usage
After assembling the machine, gather the
needed hand tools (trowel, etc.) and prepare
mortar (see the "Required tools" section).
