Wire feed speed depends on the power source to which
the welding torch is connected.
Maximum current: 350A Duty cycle: 60%
3 INSTALLATION
The welding torch must be installed by skilled person-
nel. All connections must be made in full compliance
with current safety laws.
3.1 ASSEMBLY
Connect the PUSH-PULL welding torch adapter to the
power source adapter.
Connect the welding torch service connector to the con-
nector located on the welding machine front panel.
Connect the water hoses to the cooling unit, making
sure that the colors are matched, i.e. blue for delivery
(cold water) and red for return (hot water).
In order to use the welding torch prepared for aluminum
proceed as follows.
Remove the metal channel (A) located inside the central
adapter of the power source, see Fig. 1.
Before connecting the PUSH-PULL welding torch to the
power source, choose the brass channel to be inserted
on the sheath protruding from the welding torch.
The brass channel must be chosen according to the
welding machine type to be used. When screwing the
PUSH - PULL welding torch to the central adapter, the
brass channel must stick out of it so that it almost
touches the drive roller, see fig. 2.

3.1.1 Preparation of the welding machine wire feed
unit.
Mount the wire coil onto the support and make sure that
the hole coincides with the pin placed on the support.
Slip the wire in the wire liner located on the gear motor.
Use the wire feed roller best suited to the material to be
welded and the wire diameter.
• Important: for welding aluminum wires and espe-
cially wires Ø 0.8 or 1mm it is essential to set the
pressure on the drive roller to the minimum.
When using aluminum wires with a 4-roller gearmo-
tor, it is also extremely important to use only the
front arm to adjust the pressure on the drive roller,
see Fig. 3.
Fig.3
For all other wires, just make few turns on clutches in
order to obtain the right pressure.
Close the coil compartment door and turn on the weld-
ing machine.
Select the welding program suitable for wire to be used.
3.1.2 Preparation of the PUSH-PULL torch wire feed
unit.
Use the wire feed roller whose groove matches the
diameter of the wire to be used. The diameter is
engraved on the side of the roller.
If the roller needs replacement:
• Unscrew the knobs B and remove guard C, so that the
feeder unit is visible.
• Unscrew the nut D rotating it clockwise.
• Press the lever E to remove roller F.
• Unscrew the gas nozzle H and the contact tip G.
• Press the lever E to raise the wire press bearing O so
that there are no obstacles to the first wire insertion.
• Press the welding torch button I to feed the wire until
it comes out the gun tube assembly L. A low feeding
speed is advisable.
• It is recommended to stop the wire as soon as it
comes out of the liner M and then make it move forward
in small steps until it enters the liner N and comes out
of the gun tube assembly L.
• Insert the wire feed roller F, making sure it is compati-
ble with the type of wire to be welded.
• Screw the nut D rotating it anti-clockwise.
• Check that the wire is placed inside the wire feed roller
groove F and then release the lever E so that the wire
