1. Power down the scanner.
2. Attach one end of the cable to the flatbed.
3. Attach the other end of the cable to the scanner.
4. Turn on the scanner. When the LED on the flatbed is green and
steady, the flatbed is ready to use.
NOTE: If you need to remove the cable from the scanner or flatbed,
push down on the red tab to release the cable from its position.
