5) Make sure the volume control is set to "low". To do this, turn the
knob counter-clockwise.
6)Push the power switch (top right) to the right to the INT/EXT-SPKR
position. The unit will turn on after a few seconds.
7)Adjust the volume to the desired level.
8)The BIRD GARD Pro allows the addition of an extra speaker. The
additional speaker can be used alone or in conjunction with the
original speaker built into the control unit. Insert the plug of the
additional speaker into the extension speaker socket on the back of
the unit, push the top right switch to the INT/EXT SPKR position. This
will allow both speakers to operate simultaneously. To use the
optional speaker alone, push the switch to the SPKR ONLY position.
PROGRAMMEZ VOTRE BIRD GARD PRO
To program the unit, you will need a small screwdriver, toothpick or
other sharp, rigid object to flip the small switches to the "on" or "off"
position. These small switches are located on the right side of the
centre console below the power switch. A switch is "ON" if it is
pushed to the right. A switch is "OFF" if it is pushed to the left.
SWITCH SETTINGS « RECORDINGS »
They are numbered from 1 to 8. Each
number corresponds to a bird
species. Each bird has its own call.
The list of each bird species can be
found on the silver label on the front
of the unit, under the transparent
cover. Turn the switches for the
selected birds to "ON".
The recorded calls are distress calls of the species listed. When a bird
of the same species hears this distress call, it will flee because it
knows there is danger. Other recorded calls may be those of
predatory birds of prey, which also cause birds to flee when they feel
threatened.
SWITCH SETTINGS « MODE SETTINGS »
The way you set these switches varies
depending on the effects you want to
achieve: the length of the interval
between bird calls (TIME OFF), the time of
day to operate your BIRD GARD Pro
(DAY/24HR/NIGHT), or whether the unit should operate in normal or
random mode...
1 and 2: set the duration of the interval between (series of) shouts 3
and 4: set the period of operation (day, night)
5 : sets the operating mode (regular or random)
SWITCH 5 « RANDOM »
ON = random mode
OFF = regular mode
In random mode, the unit will play the selected call sequences in a
non-regular manner. When the random mode is not activated, the
unit will play the selected calls in a regular manner. We recommend
choosing random mode to prevent birds from adapting to the
operating rhythms of the device.
SWITCHES 1 AND 2 : « TIME OFF »
These two switches set the length of the
interval between the (series of) calls.
Please note that the unit will play all
selected recordings (at xe intervals or not,
depending on whether you have
programmed regular or random mode) and then stop playing the bird
calls. The amount of time the unit does not play any calls depends on
whether you have set the interval between calls to regular or random.
If the unit is set to random mode, it will squawk at any time (from the
shortest to the longest interval), but if the unit is set to regular mode,
it will only squawk at regular (shortest) intervals. To set the duration
of the intervals between each period of activity of the unit, use
switches 1 and 2 "time o" as follows
