4. Firmly press the nose of the fastener tool contact
arm against the material and depress the trigger
lever (B) on the handle module.
NOTE: The handle grip (H) may be rotated to the
desired operating position.
5. Lower the pole accessory: Carefully lower the pole
accessory straight down, do not swing the pole
accessory down at an angle.
CAUTION: DO NOT swing the pole
accessory down at an angle while
holding the center extension.

NOTE: When the pole accessory is not in use remove
the fasteners and place it in a position where it will
not fall. If the pole accessory falls damage to the
Powers C5 Fastening Tool and the pole accessory
may occur.

MAINTAIN FOR PERFORMANCE

In order to maintain the performance of the tool,
clean and inspect the tool periodically. To have it
inspected, contact your nearest Powers authorized
service center.
WARNING: To assure product SAFETY
and RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance
and adjustment should be performed by a
Powers authorized service center. Always
use identical replacement parts.

STORING

1. Remove the fasteners from the Powers C5
Fastening Tool as described in the Powers C5
Fastening Tool owner's manual.
2. Remove the Powers C5 Fastening Tool from the
nest module.
• Loosen the locking knob (F, Figure 5) and open
the locking bar (E), remove the Powers C5
Fastening Tool.
• Close the locking bar and tighten locking
knob.
Store the Powers C5 Fastening Tool as described
in the Powers C5 Fastening Tool owner's manual.
3. Disassemble the pole accessory, unthread the
handle module from the center extension and
then the center extension from the nest module.
4. Store in a warm and dry place. Keep out of reach
of children.

TROUBLESHOOTING/REPAIRS

The repairs shall be carried out only by the Powers
Fasteners authorized service center.
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Does not fire
Ensure all connections are tight.
Ensure the pole accessory is
perpendicular to the material
the fasteners are being driven.
Ensure the Powers C5 Fastening
Tool has fasteners, fuel cell and
charged battery.
