LED Lights
The drill has 1 LED light built into the unit. The LED light is located above the variable speed switch.
The LED light turns on automa cally when you depress the variable speed switch.
The LED light illuminates dark ar

achieve a more accurate result in your workpiece.
LED POWER CAPACITY INDICATOR
3 LEDS will show you the capacity of ba ery.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

The drill has been shipped in a quick charge c
You should charge it prior to use.
Plug the charger into a power outlet.
Insert the ba ery into the charger. The recess of the ba ery terminals will have a firm c
proper contact the red and green light will illuminate and when fully charged the red light will go out and
only the green light will be illuminated.
The ba ery will take one hour to charge. Charging starts automa cally . Remove the ba ery (5) from the
charger a er one hour.
When the ba ery is hot, it may not charge immediately. This is a feature of the lithium ion ba ery
as charging hot ba eries shortens their life. In this case, the green light only will illuminate when the
ba ery is inserted into the charging. The ba ery needs to cool which may take several minutes and it will
automa cally start charging once cooled.
rge(Fig.7)
Charge your ba ery for one hour then use it un
own and only slowly operates.
Repeat this charge and discharge process approximat
re that the ba ery is
performing to its highest capacity.
Charger will not turn off when the ba ery is fully charged.
Important Charging Notes
The charger and ba ery may become warm to touch while charging. This is a normal c
not indicate a problem.
Use the charger at nor mal room temperatures whenever possible. To prevent overhea
g, do not cover
the charger and do not charge the ba ery in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
If the ba ery does not charge properly:
1. Check current at power outlet by plugging in a lamp or other appliance.
2.If charging problems persist, have the complete drill checked by an electrician or a power tool repairer.
Ba ery
The length of service from each charging cycle will depend on the type of work you are doing. The ba ery
in this drill have been designed to provide maximum trouble free life. However, like all ba eries, they will
eventually wear out.
To obtain the longest possible ba ery life, we suggest the following: Store and charge your ba ery in a cool
area. Temperatures above or below normal room temperature will shorten ba ery life.
Never store ba eries in a discharged c
Recharge them immediately a er they are discharged. All
ba eries gradually lose their charge. The higher the temperature the quicker they lose their charge. If you
store your drill f
recharge the ba eries every month or two. This
pr
rolong ba ery life.
CLEANING AND MAINTANCE
When not in use, the drill should be stored in a dry, frost free loca
reach of children. Keep
ven a
a
revent any foreign ma er from entering. If the housing
of the drill requires cleaning, do not use solvents but a mois
y. Blow out the ven a
with compressed air periodically.
