PRACTICAL TIP:
You can also easily set the reticle without a target object. To do this, close the pro-
tective lens cap or place the spotting scope on a table with the lens pointing down-
ward. This will prevent your eye from being distracted by a target object.
2.10 CHANGING THE BATTERY
If the reticle is blinking, this means that you need to change the battery as soon as
possible. The reticle will blink until the battery is replaced.
Changing the battery
• Switch off the reticle.
• Screw open the battery compartment cover by turning it counterclockwise. Remo-
ve the dead battery.
• Insert the new CR123 battery. Please ensure that the positive and negative ends
of the battery are in their proper orientation. Use only leak-proof batteries.

batteries free of charge (e.g. in retail outlets or at communal collection
points). Batteries are labelled with a crossed-out wheeled bin and the
chemical symbol of the harmful substance they contain: "Cd" for cadmium, "Hg"
for mercury and "Pb" for lead.
