Important precautionary measures
When you use an electric appliance, you must take all the basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shocks and/or personal injury.
1. Read all the instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Hold by the handle only.
3. Make sure that your power supply matches the voltage indicated on the product's label.
4. Do not submerge the cable, the plug or the unit in water or any other liquid.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental state
prevents them from using it safely or who lack the necessary experience or knowledge, unless supervised or given
instructions regarding its use by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they do
not play with the appliance.
6. Unplug the appliance from the power supply when you are not using it or before cleaning it. Let the appliance cool
down before cleaning it.
7. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his authorised technical agent or by a
qualified technician, so as to avoid any danger
8. The use of a component that has not been recommended by the manufacturer of the appliance may cause a fire,
electric shock or personal injury.
9. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the table, or worktop or come into contact with a hot surface.
10. Do not place the appliance near a gas burner or an electric hotplate, or on an oven that is hot.
11. To disconnect, switch off the appliance first and then remove the plug from the power supply. Always pull the plug,
never the cable.
12. Take care not to scald yourself with the steam. This can happen if you remove the lid and water is boiling during the
coffee preparation cycle.
13. Put the appliance on a table or a flat surface.
14. Never use the coffee maker if the water tank is empty.
15. Never use a jug that is cracked or when the handle is loose or fragile. Only use the jug with this appliance. Use the
jug with extreme care, it is very fragile.
16. Do not put a hot jug on a damp or cold surface. Do not clean the jug with abrasive cleaning products or scourers
made of aluminium or other abrasive materials.
17. Never allow the empty jug to dry out on the heating plate as it is very likely that it will break.
18. Do not use the appliance for anything other than the purpose for which it is intended.

Appliance instructions
1. The power cable is short, to avoid the risk of people becoming tangled up in, or tripping up on, a longer cable.
2. This appliance is supplied with an earthed plug to reduce the risk of electric shocks. It is therefore designed to be
plugged into an earthed socket in one way only. If the plug does not fit the socket well turn the plug the other way up.
If it will still not plug in properly, call a qualified electrician. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.
Features of the coffee maker:
Before using for the first time
Check that all the accessories are complete and that the unit has not been damaged. Fill the tank with water until it reaches
the maximum level and allow the water to work through the unit several times without adding coffee. Then throw the water
away. Wash the removable parts well in hot water.
Operating instructions
1. Open the unit lid and fill the tank with water. The water level must not exceed the MAX level indicator.
2. Open the filter compartment and remove the filter.
3. Put ground coffee in the filter (10). In general, one spoon of ground coffee is sufficient for each cup of coffee but this
can be varied according to taste. Next, put the filter in place and close the compartment lid.
4. Close the upper lid. Put the coffee jug on the heating plate.
