Maintenance and service

The platform floor truck is very low maintenance when being used in dry normal atmospheres. Before each use
the platform floor truck should be checked for smooth function and ease of movement of all moving parts.
If failures or faults preventing safe operation are detected during this inspection, the platform floor truck must
only be used when the complaints have been remedied.
If the platform floor truck is used in special ways, possibly in very dusty or even moist conditions, the need for
maintenance respectively service increases. If the platform floor truck is used with maximum load at all times,
moving parts and bearing locations should be greased more often, in order to provide for ease of movement. If
foreign matter has penetrated the tread of the wheels preventing smooth rolling, the wheels should be replaced.
SDJ – Series
Reason
The level of hydraulic oil is
insufficient.
1. There is too much hydraulic oil.
2. Moving parts have jammed or
deformed.
1. Irregularity as regards to the
discharge valve.
2. Deformed and faulty parts.
1. Faulty oil seal.
2. Hairline crack or material wear on
the surfaces of one or several parts.
3. Parts have become loose.
1. The viscosity of the used oil is too
high or the oil is not suitable for the
application.
2. The oil is contaminated.
3. Irregularity in the discharge valve.
The discharge valve is jammed on
the basis of contaminations.

Solution
Please refill suitable hydraulic oil.
1. Drain the required quantity of
hydraulic oil.
2. Replace the faulty parts.
1. Re-set the discharge respectively
cleanse the same.
2. Remove the deformed and faulty
parts.
1. Replace the oil seal.
2. Remove the faulty parts.
3. Re-attach loose parts.
1. Remove the used hydraulic oil.
2. Cleanse the oil loop and replace the
oil.
3. Re-set the discharge.
