▶ Do not cover or obstruct openings in the housing. Do not operate the product with openings in the
housing covered or obstructed. Keep the openings in the housing free of dust, lint, strands of hair, and
everything that could reduce the air flow.
▶ Use extra care when working on stairs.
▶ Switch the product off before removing the battery.
▶ Remove the battery before making adjustments to the product, changing accessories, or putting the
product away. This safety precaution prevents the product from starting accidentally.
▶ When not in use, keep the battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal
objects that could cause a short circuit at the contacts. A short circuit between the contacts can cause
burn injuries or result in fire.
▶ Recharge the batteries only with the chargers recommended by the manufacturer. A charger that is
suitable for a certain type of battery can be a fire hazard if used with other batteries.
▶ Pay attention to your posture whenever you lift or carry the product. Avoid lifting and carrying heavy
objects.

increase the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
▶ Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use
a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating the power tool may result in serious personal injury.
▶ Wear your personal protective equipment and always wear protective glasses. Depending on the type of
power tool you are using and its purpose, wearing safety equipment such as a dust mask, slip-resistant
safety shoes, a hard hat or hearing protection will reduce the risk of injury.

Using and handling the power tool
