_ ALTERATIONS / MODIFICATIONS
It is very important not to use second-hand products, as JANÉ can only guarantee the total safety
of items used by the original buyer.
Any alterations or additions to the device without proper authorisation from JANÉ may seriously
alter the safety of the restraint system.
This safety device must not be used without its upholstery, nor may it be replaced by any other
upholstery that is not the original one, as it is an integral part of the safety features of the
system.
Never add a mattress, pillow or extra padding to make it more comfortable for the child as this
would change the safety features of the system.
The use of accessories or replacement parts not approved by JANÉ is not permitted.
Contraventions like this will cancel all warranties and liability claims.

GENERAL
The restraint system must not be damaged or caught by moving parts inside the vehicle or by the
doors.
The Safety Seat must be properly secured with the seat belts and/or ISOFIX anchors, even when
it is not in use, as it could be thrown about in the event of an accident, causing injury to the
occupants of the vehicle. Luggage or any other objects likely to cause damage or injury in the
event of an accident should also be safely secured or stored away.
Your child safety seat should be replaced with a new one if it has been subjected to severe stress
in an accident.
Children may carry objects in their pockets (e.g. toys) or their clothing may have rigid parts (e.g.
buckles). Make sure these objects do not get between the child and the seat belt, as they could
cause injury in the event of an accident.
Children are often very active. For this reason, explain to them how important it is to be properly
seated and secured at all times. This will make it clear that the seat belt route must not be
changed and the fastenings must not be undone.
Protect the non-upholstered areas of the restraint system from direct sunlight to prevent the
baby's skin from coming into contact with hot parts.
