Place the puzzle pieces with the quantities facing upwards. Choose a piece,
interpret the quantity and place the piece in the frame, on top of the matching
number symbol. Some numbers occur more than once, so also pay attention
to the colour: choose a number in the same colour as the displayed quantity.
࢝ Work in pairs and do the puzzle the other way around. Start with the
frame: choose a number symbol and find the piece that belongs on
top.
࢝ Use the puzzle as a talking sheet. Discuss together what there is to
see. Count the different vegetables, using the structure as much as
possible. Name the numbers and concepts such as more, less, just as
much.
