1. SAFETY LOCK
Switching on the meachine is only possible
when pressing the switch-lock.

UNPACKING
This product has been shipped completely as-
sembled, except cutting blade.
1. Carefully remove the tool and the acces-
sories from the box. Make sure that all items
listed in the packing list are included.
2. Inspect the tool carefully to make sure that
no breakage or damage occurred during ship-
ping.
3. Do not discard the packing material until
you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily
operated the tool.
4. If any parts are damaged or missing, return
the product for replacement.
WARNING: If any parts are broken or miss-
ing, DO NOT attempt to plug in the power cord
or operate the saw until the broken or missing
parts are replaced. Failure to do so could result
in possibly serious injury.
To prevent accidental starting that could cause
serious personal injury, always disconnect the
tool from the power source when assembling
parts.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

USE
The plane can plane surfaces and rabetts,
and bevel and chan\mfer edges. Do not use
this product in another way as stated for nor-
mal use.
ON/OFF SWITCH
For safety reasons this power tool is fitted
with a switch lock and the on/off switch can-
not be locked in the "ON" position.
SWITCHING ON; Press switch lock and then
on/off Switch.
SWITCHING OFF; Release on/off switch.

ADVICE FOR OPERATION
• Never reach into the danger area of the
plane it is running.
• Place the front page of the machine on to
the worpiece and switch on, before the plan-
er blade touches the workpiece.
• The V-shape notch in the front of the sup-
porting plate ensures safe chamfering of
edges.
IMPORTANT: The ventilation slots of the
machine must be kept clear at all times.
SETTING THE PLAN-
ING DEPTH

SAWDUST REMOVAL
A dust bag* or suction hose with adaptor can
be attached to the machine for sawdust re-
moval with an wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner.
CHAMFERING EDGES
The V-Groove in the base
of the planer is used tor
chamfering.

PLANING WITH OR WITHOUT THE GUIDE
The parallel guide is secured to the side of
the machine using clamping knob. Adjust
the distance from the blade and secure with
locking nut.
NOTE: As it is a guide, make a test cut on a
scrap of timber prior to making any cut on
the workpiece.
DIRECTlON OF ADVANCEMENT (FIG.5):
The planer advancement direction should
always be as shown. The roller rotation di-
rection is indicated by an arrow on the belt
cover.
